At all stages in the process care is taken to use only the very finest materials and techniques to produce images of the highest quality. From image capture to final print, the goal kept in mind is to produce prints that are luminous and full of life. Prints that make you feel like you can walk right into them.
You will receive an exquisite signed and numbered Limited Edition Print printed to the highest standards current technology allows. The print will arrive carefully packed in a protective tube, ready for framing. There will be a border of empty paper around the print to allow the framer some flexibility in mounting and framing options.
All prints are also supplied with an official signed Certificate of Authenticity, a receipt, and complete and detailed notes on the print including handling and framing. All prints are also registered here in our database.
Postage to anywhere in the world is included in the price.
All prints are supplied with detailed notes on handling and framing. Please read these before you handle the print! If you have any further questions or would like advice on framing in general, you are very welcome to contact us.
All Limited Editions are strictly limited to 250 Limited Edition Prints. These are printed to the highest standards current technology and technique allows. They are signed and numbered. Ultrachrome Prints are printed more simply and do not form part of the series. They are not offered for sale with a signature - please see this article for an explanation as to why Reproduction Prints like Ultrachrome Prints actually help increase the value of your Limited Edition Print.
The limit of 250 signed, limited edition prints is final, and absolutely no negotiations will be entered into for signed prints above this number. When an image has reached the final edition number, no further signed prints will ever be produced for sale.
The Limited Edition Prints are produced using a Durst Lamda and Kodak Metallic Endura paper. This method offers unparalleled saturation, with rich, detailed shadows and a remarkable ability to hold highlights due to its unique 'pearlescent' base. Ultra high gloss, the prints have a finish that is second to none and unique. If you haven't seen a metallic print before, you're in for a treat!
You can rest assured that the materials used in a JDP Limited Edition Print are the very finest available with image stability second to none. While we can't offer any guarantees, in typical home display conditions these prints should last without noticeable fading for generations (100+ years!).
Edition prices are staggered. That is, early images in an edition are cheaper to purchase. Later photographs in the same edition will be more expensive, increasing as the edition number approaches 250. This follows the basic law of supply and demand - as an edition nears its end, prints are more scarce and therefore more valuable. This has the added benefit of increasing your potential re-sale price, which helps protect your investment.
Your print will be numbered on the front and have a unique code on the back. This code is stored in our registry with your details. Should you wish to offer your print for re-sale, we would appreciate it if you would encourage the new buyer to contact us with their details. You should of course pass on your Certificate of Authenticity to them. All of this helps to maintain a line of provenance for a print, which can greatly enhance values in the secondary market for artworks.
You may of course re-sell your photograph on the open market, however we may have a registered buyer on our books interested in a particular image. We would then be happy to facilitate the re-sale of this image (our fee will be 20% of the sale price). Please contact us (preferably by ) to discuss this.
