Clicking any image anywhere on this site (e.g. the one on the left here!) will take you to a dedicated page for that photograph. This page features a large version of the photo, the title and a longer description of the photograph. From this page you can also purchase a print of the image if you wish. There is a table with available print sizes and types, and the cost.
For further information about buying prints, please see the help purchasing prints page.
Images on small computer screens can't possibly compare to big, detailed, beautiful prints. However, we use the latest available technology and methods to make the images on this site as representative as possible of the final print. Of course monitors do vary and this is unfortunately beyond our control. As a simple test, if your monitor is adjusted correctly, the following image should display with at least 18 (max. 20) evenly sized sections of differing tone. Each wedge should be completely neutral in tone, i.e. appear grey. The first wedge should be pure black, and the last wedge pure white. If your monitor is not displaying this image correctly, we suggest adjusting the brightness, contrast and colour controls until this image looks correct. You will find images all over the web now display more accurately on your screen.
There are three ways to browse or search for specific photgraphs:
The Control Panel toggles allows you to switch this site between the following modes:
This site has been designed to work well on most browsers and platforms. However, everyone has a different screen size and some people prefer bigger text and so on. To this end we have created a control panel to help you change these settings. The control panel is the little strip of grey above the menu on the right. This panel has toggles for image sizes (small, medium or large), font sizes (big or little), and units (centimeters or inches). Clicking on any of these toggles changes the current mode of this site (and only this site).
Generally we recommend little fonts and small images for most people (users with resolutons of 800 by 600, 1024 by 768 or near to it). For users with big screens (say 1600 by 1200), try the big fonts and big images for a much easier to see site!
NB: If you're clicking the buttons on the control panel and nothing seems to be happening, the problem is probably with your browser's cache. Sometimes Internet Explorer gets a bit confused. If you quit your browser, delete your browser's cache and any cookies from either jeremydaalder.com and www.jeremydaalder.com, then re-start your browser, all should be well. (We use the cookies only to remember your settings).
If you have trouble with this site or see anything that looks like a bug, please us and we'll see if we can fix it!
There should be a menu bar on the right hand side of the page at all times. If it has disappeared (it shouldn't), then it is probably down below the content. Use your scrollbar to scroll down to see it.
The menu contains the navigation links for all the major areas of this site. If you're totally lost, take a look at the site map which has links to all of the content with longer explanations.
Any text this colour is a link to something. Clicking on it will take you to the named location. (In this case it just stays on this page).
